The Doctor "Who" is now Immortal, reveals the BBC

Doctor Who is now Immortal, reveals the BBC

Apparently, the Edict that Time Lords can regenerate only 12 times before they die has been quietly ditched . . .

Or has it been . . . . . .

It has inferred (and downright mentioned in some books) that in the ancient times, Rasilon enforced the 13 lives upon the Time Lords (please correct me if I am wrong) and the claim was that immortality was a curse!

Perhaps the Doctor is that "old" . . . . (900+ years old physically, but "from" the Ancient Times - it is a Time Travel Show after all).

This would then also explain what Lady Peinforte might have known about the Doctors "Secrets" in Silver Nemesis.

It would also the Doctors extensive knowledge of the Ancient Times (even after the claim that most of the Records were lost) and Omegas seemingly unexplainable grudge against him!

Plus, at the end of the day - do ANY fans REALLY want the show to end  in a few years.

I'll bet the bloody don't!

There are always ways they could get him additional lives without overturning the 12 regenerations thing. I guess it's there property to do with as they will, though.
